Yoga

Port Alberni’s only Infrared Heated Yoga… Our infrared heated yoga studio has numerous therapeutic benefits. The room is kept comfortably heated and also uses your body’s own energy to heat the room as you move through your practice. The room only gets hot when you do. Far infrared heat removes toxins that are stored in the body, improves flexibility and joint mobility, promotes healing, reduces muscle stiffness and pain, decreases soreness and inflammation, increases circulation, improves skin tone (it will even heal sunburn), promotes weight loss, enhances heart function, lowers blood pressure, reduces stress, and speeds cancer recovery. Its an overall rejuvenating experience.

Instructors

Beatrice WadeBeatrice received her yoga certification from the accredited Red Door Yoga school under the supervision of Kavita Maharaj, the internationally recognized Registered Yoga Teacher. Bea offers Integral yoga: a slow-paced, gentle, yet precise style, suitable for beginners and up. It is the basis of classical Hatha yoga. In addition, she leads stretch yoga classes (technically Yin Yoga) which improves flexibility, stretches out the body and explores new ranges of movement without the precise demands of Integral yoga. There is no experience necessary for Bea's stretch classes. Bea is also willing to do private yoga sessions, for more information contact us at Alberni Fitness or Bea directly.
Krystal HortonAfter the birth of her beautiful daughters, Krystal became a dedicated yoga student to help cope with the stress associated with motherhood. After finding so much support from her practice, she was inspired to start teaching yoga. Since graduating from her 200 hour teacher training, Krystal hasn’t stopped learning. Staying inspired is easy as her mission is simple- to support others in building a practice that arms them with as much strength and nourishment that her practice offers her. Krystal is pleased to offer Vinyasa and Yin yoga classes, as well as a yoga inspired hot power class.
